The weather this entire week has been so dreary and rainy, but as soon as Kylie and Jeremy arrived to their session, they brought a ray of sunshine! I met this darling duo at Capen Park in Columbia, Missouri. We definitely had to trek through quite a bit of mud for this session to get to the good spots, but it was well worth it! Kylie and Jeremy were such troopers hiking along with me. I adored how sweet these two are with one another. Kylie can’t stop laughing when Jeremy is around. I loved documenting the undeniable connection these two share.
How They Met
Kylie and Jeremy first met at a basketball game at School of the Osage while they were both in high school. Jeremy’s best friend and Kylie’s best friend were dating, so they introduced Jeremy and Kylie to one another. Kylie and Jeremy never really had a first date. When they first starting dating, they would get food and have a picnic in the park. They loved going on hikes around the lake and spending quality time together.
The One
Kylie: “I knew Jeremy was the one when I saw how he would do anything for me. He would help me with anything at the drop of a hat. He is always complementing no matter if I’m all dress up or in leggings and a sweat shirt. I know he truly loves me for me.”
Jeremy: “I knew Kylie was the one when I first saw her. She was not your typical preppy girl. She loved to go on hiking trip, riding four wheeler, and doing anything out doors. She was the one for me. She was absolutely stunning to look at and was way to smart for me.”
How He Asked
Kylie and Jeremy had planned a vacation for just the two of them, to visit Moab, Utah. Before they went, they decided to book a guided tour of Hells Revenge Trail, which is the most known off-road trail in Moab. Before they went on the ride, Jeremy told the tour guide that he was planning on proposing. The tour guide told him the best spot which was the second stop on the tour. It was on top of a cliff over looking the river! Jeremy was acting as if they were just taking a picture, and before Kylie knew it, Jeremy was down on one knee. Of course Kylie had to say yes!! She was on cloud 9 for the rest of the trip and has been ever since. The funny thing about the proposal is Jeremy asked Kylie’s dad for help with the ring. Her dad accidentally put the wedding band in the box instead of the engagement ring. So the big diamond was still at home.
I cannot wait to have such a sweet pair back in front of my camera! Their fall 2023 wedding can’t come soon enough.
