Mr. & Mrs. Bischoff | Timber Ridge Barn | Jefferson City, Missouri

After officially meeting Sara and Caleb at their engagement session back in October, we could not wait for their June wedding day!  We knew their wedding day would be one for the books just by the way they talked about their day and how they couldn’t wait to be married and surrounded by all the ones they love!  After spending time with Sara and Caleb at the engagement session, we quickly grew to adore these two!  I mean, how could you not?  Sara has such a loving spirit that is contagious and Caleb has such a genuine and kind heart.  Caleb looks at Sara like she’s the only girl in the world; she truly captivates Caleb with her radiant beauty!  They are such a joy filled couple with a love so special it’s in the clouds!

The day started off at a new venue for us!  Timber Ridge Barn is a charming and cozy space that was perfect for Sara and Caleb’s day.  They had this place looking spectacular.  No detail went unnoticed when they were planning for the wedding day.  A sweetheart table sat front and center of the barn doors with elegantly decorated tables for bridal party and family nearby.  Sparkling rose gold runners and table cloths made this venue come to life.  Large floral centerpieces with pops of pink and purple had the space looking oh so lovely!  They truly did a number on this space and transformed it into something special!

It’s no surprise that Sara was so well organized and ready for the day!  Just after we finished photographing the event space, we got to work styling all of her pretty bridal details.  She had everything all ready to go for us.  It always makes the day move along effortlessly when things are in order.  While we styled details, Devin took candids and portraits of everyone hanging out in the new bridal room.  Michael with Timber Ridge Barn has outdone himself with this perfectly executed bridal getting ready space.  Wood textured walls are paired with plain white walls to make this room versatile for brides.  One of the textured wood walls is lined with mirrors and lights to make getting ready easy.  It’s always such an added bonus to have a getting ready space for brides at the event venue.  It makes our job so much easier when everything is in once place.

The day was moving along perfectly!  Just before getting Sara into her gown, all the girls gathered in the getting ready room for a few portraits in their matching robes.  It was finally time to get Sara in her dress!  Her mom Kelli helped her into the stunning gown.  As Sara looked into the mirror, she burst into tears.  As the happy tears streamed down her face, Sara gently wiped them away and looked at her mom with the biggest smile.  Kelli stood grinning from ear to ear as she saw her beautiful daughter as a bride.  Sara looked absolutely stunning!  She was glowing and looked so happy and joyful in that moment.  Her mom helped her with the final finishing touches of jewelry and she was ready to go!  We wanted to utilize the new getting ready space to the fullest.  Before taking her up for a reveal with the bridesmaids, we took the time to capture a few bridal portraits of Sara on the vintage cream colored couch.

Next, we had the bridesmaids stand outside on the back deck in front of the barn door.  They would soon share a first look with Sara as a bride and what an emotional moment it would be!  As the barn doors slid open and revealed the radiant bride, a wave of emotions hit each and every bridesmaid.  The sweetest sight to see was Alyson, Sara’s twin sister, immediately lose it as the doors opened.  Sara and Alyson share a special unbreakable bond and have always been together.  They are so close, so it came as no surprise when a stream of tears drifted steadily down Alyson’s face.  Tears were followed by smiles and eventually, Alyson would contain her emotions and the two would embrace with the sweetest hug.

Now came the hard part.  A first look with Sara’s dad.  As the barn doors opened, Sara became very emotional and began to cry.  Her dad Jim stood looking at her in awe.  He looked so proud in that moment!  As they walked closer to one another, they hugged so tightly before looking at each other.  Jim smiled at Sara and began wiping the tears from her cheeks.  This was one sweet daddy daughter first look!

We spent the rest of the afternoon photographing bridal party pictures at Timber Ridge Barn property.  We love the woodsy vibe and had many spots picked out for taking photos!  Sara and Caleb have such a fun group of friends and family and they made our time so easy.  Everyone listened to our direction and did exactly what we asked of them without hesitation.  We were able to wrap up portraits quickly.  Just before heading to the church for the ceremony, we had Sara and Caleb separated by the barn door.  They would hold hands and exchange letters without seeing one another.  Sara once again was hit with a wave of emotions as she grasped her soon to be husbands hand.  This moment was sweet as can be!

The time had finally come for Sara and Caleb to get married!  Their ceremony has been one of my absolute favorites to witness!  It was such a moving ceremony from beginning to end.  They made it very clear that they didn’t just want it to be a marriage ceremony.  They wanted their time in the church to be a worship service.  Their ceremony was centered around Jesus.  Worship songs were sung, Sara and Caleb took communion together, and they exchanged rings.  It was such a moving ceremony!  As the pastor pronounced them husband and wife, Sara and Caleb looked at each other with the biggest grins and then shared their first Kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Bischoff!  The crowd erupted in cheer and applause.  Sara and Caleb made their way back down the aisle looking happy as can be!

The ceremony was followed by a fun reception back at the barn!  Sara and Caleb are so loved by friends and family and that was evident throughout the entire day.  There was such an overwhelming amount of love that filled Timber Ridge Barn last Saturday.  The evening was spent listening to funny and sentimental toasts, dancing… lots and lots of dancing, and photographing all the in between moments.  We loved this day and cannot say enough great things about Mr. and Mrs. Bischoff!

Sara and Caleb, thank you , from the bottom of our hearts, for choosing us to capture your wedding day memories!  We have loved getting to know you both and working with you during this sweet season of life.  You and your families have been so welcoming to our team!  We wish you two nothing but the absolute best.  We know great things are in store for you.  Continue to keep God at the center of your relationship and amazing things will happen for you both.

Enjoy some of our favorites from the day!  There are MANY more to see in the final gallery, so it was quite difficult trying to narrow it down for the post!
