November 15, 2025 was a day filled with laughter, golden light, peak fall color, heartfelt moments, and two of the most joyful humans becoming husband and wife! Lizzy and Nick were married at the Cathedral of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson City, Missouri, with a celebration following at Capital Bluffs Event Center and every moment of their day was an absolute dream to photograph!
When we arrived that morning, the bridal suite upstairs at Capital Bluffs was buzzing in the best way. Lizzy and her girls were already radiating excitement! Music played, laughter filled every corner of the room, and yes, a few TikToks were definitely made.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Nick and the guys arrived early with plenty of time to get settled. Nick got ready with the help of his brother and parents, such a sweet, grounding moment before the busyness of the day unfolded. There was a sense of pride and excitement in the room as he fastened his suit jacket and pinned his boutonniere into place, perfectly calm and ready to marry the love of his life!
Back upstairs, the girls were still having the time of their lives, dancing, goofing around, and keeping spirits so light and joyful! Then it was time for Lizzy to step into her gown. Her mom helped her button up every delicate button, place her veil, and make the final touches. The second Lizzy was fully dressed, she was glowing, truly the picture perfect bride. She even danced around with her gals again before sharing the sweetest first look with her dad, who couldn’t have been prouder!
Before heading to the church, Lizzy and Nick shared their first look on the grounds of Capital Bluffs. As Lizzy tapped his shoulder, Nick spun around with the biggest smile stretched across his face, it was pure joy! They embraced immediately, laughing and soaking up the moment together. There was so much giddiness, so much genuine excitement, you could feel their love from a mile away!
We headed to the Cathedral of St. Joseph next, where we captured immediate family portraits before stealing Lizzy and Nick outside. For mid November, we were blessed with incredible weather. There were warm temperatures and fall colors in their full, vibrant glory. The golden, orange and red leaves were glowing against the church backdrop, and we knew we had to take advantage of every bit of that beautiful fall color.
Inside, the ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful. Lizzy and Nick exchanged vows, rings, and were pronounced husband and wife surrounded by their loved ones.! Their recessional smiles said it all. These two were SO ready to celebrate!
After the ceremony, we made our way to the Missouri Capitol, and let me tell you, it was one of those perfect portrait days. The trees were showing off, the light was golden, and Lizzy’s smile? Absolutely infectious! She and Nick were naturals in front of the camera. They were relaxed, playful, and so connected. We joked that they must have modeled before, because photographing them felt completely effortless. Their bridal party brought the fun energy too, making this part of the day such a blast!
Back at Capital Bluffs, we hopped into golf carts and ventured around the course for sunset portraits! The lighting was unbelievable, so soft, golden, romantic. Lizzy and Nick savored every second of that “just married” glow, and the photos ended up being some more favorites of the day!
Right before their grand entrance, Lizzy changed into a new reception dress! She and Nick descended the staircase hand-in-hand, ready to greet their guests and kick off the party!
Heartfelt toasts were shared, dinner was enjoyed, and then it was time for dances. Lizzy and Nick shared their first dance as husband and wife, followed by the sweetest parent dances that had everyone smiling.
And then the dance floor opened! Immediately, it was packed. Their guests came ready to celebrate, and they danced the night away! So much laughter, so many full out dance moves, and the kind of energy every couple hopes for at their reception.
Lizzy and Nick, thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting us document day one of your marriage! Your warmth, your joy, and the way you treated us like friends made the day so special. And to your family and friends, thank you for welcoming us in with such kindness!
You two are such a bright light. May your marriage be filled with endless laughter, spontaneous TikToks, golden hour moments, and all the blessings!
Cheers to your next adventure as husband and wife!
