Mr. & Mrs. Chilton | Capital Bluffs Event Center | Jefferson City, Missouri Wedding

Lexi and Collin were married on April 15 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Jefferson City, Missouri! The forecast showed storms and rain for the majority of the day, but we were lucky to get a break in those showers and stormy weather for beautiful portraits. When we arrived to the venue, Lexi and her bridesmaids were prepping for the day with hair and makeup. Lexi even decided to take on the task of doing her own bridal makeup on her wedding day! She did a phenomenal job on such a big day. The guys showed up later and were loud and excited as they prepared for the day. Collin got ready with the help of his dad and brother. His mom pinned on his boutonnière and his groom look was complete! He read a letter from his soon to be wife. Collin was all smiles as he opened his gift from Lexi. A new watch with the words, “Love you 3000” was engraved on the back of the watch. It was such a sweet sentiment!

Lexi slipped into her gorgeous gown with the help of her mom! Once the veil was pushed in, Lexi looked like one radiant bride! She shared an emotional reveal with her bridesmaids. Next she and her dad shared a tear-filled first look. Her dad embraced her so tightly as he told her how adorable she looked! Finally, she shared a first look with her two brothers, before we headed downtown for a few portraits.

Downtown, we documented portraits of the bridesmaids and many gorgeous portraits of Lexi! Once the girls made their way over to church, we met with Collin and the guys for groomsmen portraits. Back over at the church, just across the way, we geared up for the ceremony. Lexi and Collin shared in a Catholic Ceremony at St. Peters with their family and friends in attendance. Within half an hour, the two were pronounced husband and wife! Cheering erupted in the church, as the happy couple dashed back down the aisle.

Family gathered over at the Missouri Capitol for portraits. We took advantage of the nice weather! It started to get more gloomy and began to thunder. Our bride and groom portrait time was cut short, but luckily, we were able to capture some really cute moments of the two of them before the weather picked up. Lexi and Collin decided to enjoy their day and drove around on their party bus.

At the reception, guests were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the bridal party! Once they arrived, the DJ announced Mr. and Mrs. Chilton into the celebration! They cut the cake and started things off with some great toasts from family and friends. After dinner, we stole the newlyweds for a few more portraits in a field. As soon as we arrived for more portraits, the wind picked up and made it nearly impossible to take portraits, with such strong gusts.

Once we made it back to the reception, Collin and Lexi shared their first dances! The party got kicked off and guests enjoyed a night of celebrating and dancing! At the end of the night, we met Lexi and Collin outside for one last memorable moment! The two popped a celebratory bottle of champagne and sprayed it all over with the giddiest of grins!
