Mr. & Mrs. Clemons | The Millbottom | Jefferson City, Missouri

We joined Caitlin and Clayton with their closest friends and family for  a snowy January wedding day!  Caitlin selected the perfect winter color pallet with shades of Emerald green.  Neutral florals paired perfectly with the rich color pallet.  All of the bridal details were absolutely gorgeous and we couldn’t wait to get to work and photograph all the prettiness! Caitlin is quite the creative and made the entire invitation suite herself!  A personalized floral ring box with the initials C+C had us swooning!  Everything came together beautifully.  You could tell Caitlin had put her personal touches on every aspect of the day!

The wintery day was going well, and before we knew it, the time had come to get Caitlin in her gown.  Caitlin’s mom helped get Caitlin into her gorgeous gown.  Beautiful jewelry pieces were put in place and a veil finished off the look.  Caitlin looked in the mirror and added a few spritzes of hair spray and she was ready to go and see her groom for the first look!   Just before leaving her hotel suite, we had Caitlin’s father come in to see his daughter for the first time.  It was an emotional moment shared between the two of them as they hugged and her dad gushed over how beautiful Caitlin looked!

The snow had really started to come down in heavy bursts.  We met Clayton under the archways of the governors garden.  He was nervous yet so excited to see his bride for the first time.  He waited anxiously as Caitlin made her way closer to him.  She paused and took a deep breath while her train was perfectly fluffed out one last time.  We gave her the thumbs up and said, “whenever you’re ready Caitlin!”  She glided towards Clayton and gently tapped him on the shoulder.  Clayton quickly spun around awe struck at the sight of Caitlin as a bride!  She truly took his breath away during the sweet moment.  Caitlin and Clayton’s first look was absolutely spectacular and special.  The joy on Clayton’s face said it all!

We tried to work fast in the could weather as the snow kept swirling and creating a delicate white blanket on the ground.  Even though the temperatures were frigid, the scenery truly was beautiful.  Caitlin and Clayton’s joyous love shined during their bride and groom portrait time.  We kept them snuggled up close the majority of the time and their giggles and laughter was the cutest thing!  After a bit of time outside, it just became too cold to be outside any longer, so we made our way back to the Millbottom.

There, we were met with all their close friends and family for the ceremony.  A short and sweet ceremony centered on God was shared between Clayton and Caitlin.  They exchanged rings and recited vows and the pastor pronounced them husband and wife!  The new Mr. and Mrs. Clemons happily made their way back down the aisle as they high fived several guests in excitement!  Every one cheered and applauded as they walked by!  You could really feel the love in the room at that very moment.

The remainder of the evening was spent celebrating at the reception with toasts, dancing, and good food!  Guests enjoyed decadent cakes and mints as they danced the night away!  With the snow still falling as the evening faded to night, we couldn’t help but get the bride and her bridesmaids outside for a few fun snow portraits.  As the snow lightly fell to the ground, all the girls laughed and giggled.  Caitlin is definitely blessed with amazing girl friends!  These girls knew how to have a fun time.  As our time with Caitlin and Clayton neared the end, we headed outside with the two of them for a few more night ending portraits.  Under the street lights in the middle of the road, Caitlin and Clayton danced, dipped, and kissed in the fairytale scene.

Caitlin and Clayton, Thank you so much for allowing us the sweet opportunity to witness your very special day!  We felt so honored to be there documenting the day and meeting all your sweet family and friends who have played such significant roles in your lives!  You two are truly blessed with the best.  Thank you again for everything.  Enjoy some of our favorites from the day!
