Mr. & Mrs. Deeken | Linn, Missouri Wedding

Megan & Ryan were married on August 9th at St. George Catholic Church in Linn, Missouri, and their wedding day was as beautiful as it was warm! The summer heat made its presence known, but every so often a soft breeze would sweep through, giving everyone a little relief. Despite the temperature, the joy and excitement in the air kept spirits high, and from the very start, it was clear this day was going to be one to remember!

The morning started with Ryan and his groomsmen getting ready at a nearby friend’s home while Megan and her bridesmaids gathered at her parents’ house. The room was overflowing with excitement, buzzing with anticipation as hair and makeup were underway. Matching pajamas, laughter, and giggles filled the morning, and it was such a joy to capture those sweet moments before Megan slipped into her wedding gown. With the help of her mom and sister, she stepped into her stunning dress! When the veil was placed, Megan’s mom lit up with the biggest smile, completely unable to stop beaming at her daughter as a bride. It was such a touching moment!

Before heading to the church, we walked across the street to the neighbor’s side yard where Megan and her bridesmaids smiled and giggled through portraits. The joy in that group made photographing them effortless! Over at St. George, Ryan and his guys had just arrived. We snapped groomsmen portraits in front of the church, and Ryan’s mom proudly pinned on his boutonniere, her expression said everything about the pride and love she felt in that moment.

At 1 o’clock sharp, the ceremony began! Megan was escorted down the aisle by her dad, and Ryan looked eager, emotional, and ready to see his beautiful bride. They shared in a traditional Catholic Mass surrounded by family and friends, and within the hour, they were officially pronounced husband and wife!

After family portraits and a few just married moments inside the church, we traveled to McGuire Park in Linn with their bridal party. Their friends were lively, hilarious, and kept the energy going, quite literally never leaving a dull second! Megan and Ryan themselves were absolute troopers in the August heat, and their love made every pose come naturally. Their connection is undeniable, and photographing them together was effortless!

The celebration continued at the Loose Creek Community Club, where guests had spent the afternoon mingling and catching up. When Megan & Ryan were announced in, the whole room erupted in cheers! After cutting their cake and enjoying heartfelt (and funny!) toasts, and dinner, we snuck them outside just as the sun began dipping lower in the sky. The golden light was perfect, and those portraits turned out to be some of my favorites from the entire day! Their friends even joined in for the end, bringing so much laughter and energy!

Back inside, Megan & Ryan shared their first dance as husband and wife, followed by Megan’s dance with her dad and Ryan’s with his mom. But then came a beautiful surprise, Megan invited her mom onto the dance floor for a special first dance. As they danced, a monologue began playing with Megan’s heartfelt words of thanks for everything her mom had done for her over the years! It was an emotional, powerful moment, made even more special when the DJ called all the other mothers and daughters to join in. Truly an unforgettable moment of the day!

The rest of the night was nothing short of a party! The dance floor stayed full, the laughter never stopped, and Megan & Ryan soaked up every minute of it.
