Mr. & Mrs. Dunnavant | Mighty Oak Lodge Wedding

Amber and Trevor picked the most fantastic venue for their gorgeous wedding day last weekend!  The Mighty Oak Lodge is absolutely beautiful with so many photo opportunities.  We knew that though the day would be extremely hot, it wouldn’t hinder us from capturing the most gorgeous portraits around the property!  Amber and Trevor are the sweetest pair!  There’s no doubt that these two share something very special.  Their love is undeniable and it shows in every image.  Amber and Trevor are high school sweethearts and they are still so madly in love with one another.  They were initially supposed to get married last June, but unfortunately had to reschedule due to the pandemic.  Holding off a year was worth it, because their celebration was truly a day to remember!  We just adore these two and their endearing love!

The Mighty Oak Lodge is such a great venue with both the ceremony and reception held on site.  When we arrived on the wedding morning, Amber was calm as ever going around the venue space making sure everything looked perfect!  They did an amazing job decorating the space with their travel and adventure theme.  The girls were getting ready in the bridal room while the guys were just across the hall hanging out in the groom’s getting ready room.  As we photographed the day, laughter could be heard throughout the venue.  We knew we were in for a great day.  Trevor got ready in style with his mom and dad helping with the finishing touches.  Amber slipped into her gorgeous gown and her mom fastened her in and pushed the veil in place to finish off the look.

Waiting outside, stood Amber’s dad.  He was anxiously waiting to share a first look with his beautiful daughter.  Amber looked absolutely stunning!  We had a feeling her dad would get emotional when he saw her for the first time.  Amber shared the sweetest first look with her dad.  He was overcome with emotion and teared up when he turned around to witness his oldest daughter as a bride. It was such a special moment! Next, Amber did a big reveal with her bridesmaids before the wedding ceremony.  Everyone looked so excited as they saw Amber as a bride!  It was now ceremony time.

One thing we love about the Mighty Oak Lodge is the ceremony space.  It’s so pretty!  Amber and Trevor were united in marriage beneath the “mighty Oak tree.”  Trevor’s sister Kayla officiated the wedding with close family and friends in attendance.  The ceremony was short and sweet!  After being pronounced husband and wife, Amber and Trevor dashed back up the aisle looking giddy as ever!  After ten years together, they finally became husband and wife.  The remainder of the evening was spent documenting portraits with family and the bridal party.  Just before heading inside, we stole Amber and Trevor away some just married portraits.  It was definitely hotter than we would have liked, but Amber and Trevor handled the heat like champs.

The night was spent celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Dunnavant.  Love filled the room as toasts were made, the cake was cut, and the first dance as husband and wife took place!  After all the main events, Amber and Trevor met us outside for some dreamy and romantic sunset portraits.  Trevor popped the champagne and sprayed it everywhere as Amber cheered in excitement!  There’s no doubt these two are a fun couple.  We had the best time following Amber and Trevor around and documenting their love story!  This is definitely one wedding day we won’t soon forget.

Amber and Trevor, Thank you so much for including us in your special day!  We loved documenting your sweet connection.  We felt so welcomed in by everyone from the moment we arrived.  Enjoy some of our favorites from the gorgeous day!
