Mr. & Mrs. Sellers | Backyard Rocheport, Missouri Wedding

It’s no secret that I love backyard weddings!  I love being able to see how people can truly transform the space to create a gorgeous wedding venue for the evening.  Allie’s parents did just that!  They created a one-of-a-kind space for Allie and Ethan’s intimate wedding day.  Allie and Ethan were supposed to get married last October, but due to the pandemic, they were forced to push their date back not once, but two times.  I guess three times is really a charm, because on the third scheduled wedding date, they were able to finally get married!

All week, we were worried because the weather was forecasted to be pretty ominous.  They were calling for heavy rain and severe storms for most of the day.  We sent up a lot of prayers throughout the week hoping that they may be blessed with a nice day instead.  We knew Allie’s family went to a lot of work to make the wedding day happen.  We didn’t want to see the wedding day Allie had been envisioning for years be overtaken by rain. Allie and Ethan were in luck!  When their wedding day came, they had beautiful weather.  Not only did it not rain, but the sun came out.  It was the most clear beautiful summer day!

Allie and her bridesmaids were all preparing for the day in the cutest little Bed and Breakfast in Rocheport, Missouri.  The adorable little house was the most perfect space for getting ready for the day!  When we arrived, Allie seemed calm as ever as she was getting her hair and make up done by a childhood friend.  Music was playing in the background and all her bridesmaid seemed so fun and upbeat!  We instantly knew this would be a fun group to work with.

The time had come to get Allie in her wedding gown.  Her mom helped her slip into the beautiful tulle gown.  Once the veil was set in place, it only took one look between Allie and her mom before the tears started streaming.  They were both trying hard not to cry, but it was an emotional moment for each of them.  Before heading off to her parent’s, Allie shared a first look with all of her bridesmaids.  All the girls were so excited as Allie revealed herself to them as a stunning bride!

At the reception tent, we were amazed with how everything came together so perfectly!  You can tell that so much hard work was put into making this day special for Allie and Ethan.  We loved the woodsy wildflower vibe of the space.  Allie and her mom spent months collecting mismatched vintage floral plates to ensure every guest had a unique pairing of dining ware.  They found old floral sheets and used those to make napkins.  Wildflowers filled the tables and bottles of wine waiting for guests to enjoy were set in the center of the table.  Everything came together perfectly!  Perhaps our favorite personal detail of the day was all of the delicious looking desserts Allie’s mom made.

Ever since Allie was nine years old, she dreamed of getting married on her parents property.  A parallel line of trees created the aisle that Allie could see herself walking down as a bride.  Her family turned what she had been envisioning for years into a reality and created the perfect space for the intimate ceremony.  As the sun began to set on Saturday June 26, 2021, Allie was ushered down the tree lined aisle by her father, as her closest family and friends were in attendance.  Ethan looked so sweet as he watched his gorgeous bride make her way to him.

Allie and Ethan shared in a short, sweet, and sentimental ceremony.  They both professed their love to one another during their heartfelt handwritten vows.  Allie and Ethan’s adorable golden doodle Wally was the ring bearer.  He looked so happy standing up by his parents during the ceremony.  Allie and Ethan exchanged rings and they were finally pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Sellers!  Allie and Ethan made their way back up the aisle as two Marines formed a sword arch for them to pass through.

The remainder of the evening was spent celebrating the new happy couple!  Allie and Ethan were announced into their reception as “Space Jam” played loudly over the speakers.  Everyone rose to their feet and cheered in excitement as Allie and Ethan danced their way to the head table.  The day couldn’t have been more perfect for these two.  Everything came together beautifully, the rain held out, and everyone truly looked to be having the best of times!  Allie and Ethan are a darling match.  They balance each other out in all the best ways!  It’s evident these two are meant to be.

Allie and Ethan, thank you for including us in your gorgeous wedding day!  We had so much fun celebrating you both.  You two are something special.  Enjoy some of our favorites from the day!
