Mr. & Mrs. Gump | Capital Bluffs | Jefferson City, Missouri Wedding

After photographing Brittney and Brandan’s engagement session last fall, I knew their wedding day would be a fun one!  These two are the perfect pair.  Their love for one another is very apparent and documenting their connection is easy as can be.  The way Brandan looks at Brittney and the way she looks at him is the sweetest thing to witness.  These two look at each other as if no one else is around.  We just adore Brittney and Brandan and their sweet story!

Their wedding day started bright and early since they decided to share a first look and photograph all the portraits before the catholic ceremony.  Brittney and her girls were getting ready upstairs at Capital Bluffs and Brandan and his groomsmen were preparing for the day just across the way.  A flurry of excitement filled the air on the morning of the wedding day.  Everyone was buzzing around anticipating the day ahead.  Brandan got ready with the help of his two brothers.  They both gave him a hard time as they helped him with the suit jacket.  Brandan’s mom finished the look as she pinned on his boutonnière.  Brittney and Brandan decided to swap love notes on the morning of the wedding and Brandan got emotional as he read the sweet love letter from his soon to be wife.

Now that Brandan was all ready, it was time to get Brittney into her gown.  Before slipping into the gown, Britney read her love note from Brandan and teared up several times as she read his sweet sentiments.  With the help of her sisters, Brittney was in her wedding gown and looking stunning as ever.  Once her cathedral length veil was pushed into place, Brittney was all smiles and ready to get the day going.  We were off to the Katy Trail Bridge where Brittney and Brandan would share their first look.

We must have gotten lucky, because at the exact moment we got Brandan into place on the bridge, no one was walking or biking on the trail.  Brittney walked up to the bridge and paused, adjusted her veil and walked closer to Brandan while calling his name.  Brandan turned around and looked shocked at the sight of his bride.  He immediately grabbed Brittney for the sweetest embrace and the two became very emotional.  We rolled right into their bride and groom portraits, and man do these two make our job easy!  Brandan and Brittney are just effortless in front of the camera!  We ventured to downtown and enjoyed the Governor’s Garden and Capitol area for the remainder of portraits.

It was easily one of the hottest wedding days we’ve had this year, but Brittney and Brandan, along with their bridal party were such troopers.  It’s no fun to be photographing when the weather has a heat index above 100, but you honestly cannot tell everyone was so hot.  We enjoyed how easy everyone was to work with!  We headed over to Immaculate Conception Church after portraits to prepare for the ceremony.

Brittney and Brandan shared in a traditional Catholic mass ceremony!  Within the hour, they were pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Gump and happily dashed back up the aisle as everyone in attendance cheered in excitement!  After family portraits, we made our way to Capital Bluffs to begin the celebrations for the evening!  Brittney and Brandan were announced in and immediately took their first shot together as husband and wife.  The cake was cut and funny toasts were made by family.  The remainder of the evening was spent dancing and celebrating the new happy couple.

Before we ended our time with Brittney and Brandan, we stole them away and cruised around the golf course for some golden hour photos.  These two are something special!  With the temperatures finally cooling off a bit, Brittney and Brandan truly ended their time with us on a high note during the sunset portraits!  We cannot say enough great things about Brittney and Brandan.  Their love is something to be admired by all!  We couldn’t be any more excited to share a sweet peek into their wedding day.

Brittney and Brandan, thank you so much for allowing me and my team to be part of such a special day!  We truly loved every moment of the day!  We wish you both all the best and know together you will do amazing things in life.  Enjoy our favorites from the day.  Many more to come.
