Megan and Trevor were married on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Kleffner Valley in Loose Creek, Missouri, and for the very first weekend in December, the weather surprised us all! It was calm, mild, and far warmer than anyone expected. It was the kind of winter day that feels like a small gift and I loved that for them!
When I arrived, the energy was already buzzing. Megan and her girls were tucked away in the gorgeous bridal suite, laughter bouncing off the walls as hair was curled, makeup was finished, and the excitement of the day fully settled in. While they got ready, I moved through the space photographing reception details and bridal details. These are the quiet pieces that often go unnoticed but hold so much meaning. Just across the way, Trevor and his guys were getting ready in the grain bins, relaxed but clearly counting down the moments.
Before Megan stepped into her gown, we captured some portraits of her and her girls in matching robes, all smiles and laughter. Even the moms joined in, which made those moments feel extra special! There’s something about that window of time before a bride gets dressed that feels so exciting! Then it was time. Megan’s mom helped fasten each delicate button on her gown, hands steady and intentional. With the help of her mom and Maid of Honor, jewelry was added piece by piece, and finally, the veil was gently placed into her hair. The moment Megan turned toward the mirror, she absolutely radiated. Pure joy! She was a stunning bride!! We took a few bridal portraits in the naturally lit suite, and they turned out just as beautiful as she felt.
From there, Megan shared a series of first looks. First with her Maid of Honor, friends, sisters-in-laws, and moms. One by one, they turned around to see her, and the room filled with excitement and emotion all over again. Then came a first look I’ll never forget. The one with her dad. When he turned around and saw his daughter as a bride, he looked completely stunned! Their interaction was quiet, tender, and so full of love. Before portraits began, Megan also chose to share a first look with her three brothers, each one smiling wide and telling her how beautiful she looked.
As if on cue, the sun peeked through the clouds for the first time all day. We headed toward the back of the property near the tree line for bridal party portraits, soaking up that soft winter light. Soon after, it was time for the ceremony.
Megan and Trevor were married inside at Kleffner Valley, with Megan’s brother Justin officiating. From the moment the barn doors slid open, Trevor couldn’t hold back his tears. He was completely overcome with emotion as Megan walked toward him, and honestly, that set the tone! Throughout the entire day, Trevor teared up anytime he talked about Megan. It was incredibly sweet to witness how deeply he feels for her. After exchanging vows, rings, and a kiss, they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton!
After the ceremony, we stepped outside for family formals, followed by bridal party and newlywed portraits. By then, the air had turned a bit colder, but Megan came prepared with the warmest white fuzzy winter coat, which made their portraits feel like something straight out of a winter dream. Photographing Megan and Trevor together was effortless. Their connection is undeniable. Trevor keeps Megan laughing, and she’s constantly smiling and giddy around him! As the cold settled in, we wrapped up portraits and headed back inside where they joined cocktail hour with their guests.
Soon, Megan and Trevor were announced into their reception, where they listened to heartfelt and humorous toasts, enjoyed dinner, cut their cake, and shared their first dance as husband and wife. After the father-daughter and mother-son dances, they invited their bridal party and siblings onto the dance floor to circle around them for a special song . Just when guests thought the surprises were over, Megan grabbed the microphone and shared that she had one more dance planned, this time with her sweet mom! The look on her mom’s face when she realized what Megan was doing was priceless and incredibly touching.
The rest of the night was filled with dancing, laughter, and glow sticks lighting up the dance floor. We snuck Megan and Trevor away one last time for a few nighttime portraits. It was just a quiet pause at the end of a full, beautiful day!
Megan and Trevor, thank you so much for trusting me to document the very first day of your marriage. It was truly an honor to witness your love story unfold. Wishing you both nothing but happiness as you step into this next chapter together!
Cheers to the Hamiltons!!
