Mr. & Mrs. Jones | Wildcliff Wedding Day | Blackwater, Missouri

A beautiful day was planned for Emery and Cody to tie the knot at Wildcliff in Blackwater, Missouri!  The day was full of so many hand selected elegant details.  It’s quite obvious that Emery is particular in the best ways possible.  She has a knack for dreaming up incredible things and with the help of her creative team, the day was executed flawlessly.  From the soft white bridal bouquets, to every pretty little detail seen throughout the day, this day was perfection.  Her reception space was an absolute dream full of all the pretties from Pretty Little Things, and beautifully created florals by Emily with Sugarberry Blooms.  Saturday June 29 was a day we had been counting down the days to.  We just knew with all of the creatives coming together for the day, it would be nothing short of amazing.

We were welcomed with open arms at the start of the day by Hannah; she and her husband are the behind the scenes duo for Wildcliff and they do a spectacular job helping create gorgeous wedding days for couples.  We met at The Hollow, a reception space, in the downtown area.  It’s just short drive from Wildcliff and it’s the perfect spot for summer wedding days with extremely warm temperatures.  When we arrived, Hannah along with Courtney from Pretty Little Things were putting the final finishing touches to the space.  There were so many fun elements to capture. We were definitely in heaven!  You always know when Emily with Sugarberry Blooms has been in a space.  She truly has a way with making spaces come to life with her beautiful floral designs.  Everything looked so elegant paired with the dusty blue table cloths. We knew guests would soon be swooning over just how gorgeous everything came together.

Next we met Emery and all of her bridesmaids to get ready for the day!  Inside the cutest little cottage nestled on the property of Wildcliff, we photographed pretty bridal details.  The cottage was brimming with mixed emotions as everyone prepared for the day.  One minute you would hear girls busting out laughing and the next moment, emotions would hit hard and tears would be streaming down their faces.  As Emery stepped into her wedding gown with the help of her mom and soon to be mother-in-law, she was all smiles. Her bridesmaids cheered and applauded and exclaimed, “Awe, you look so gorgeous!” You could tell Emery was so excited to get the day started. Quite possibly one of the most emotional portions of the day came when Emery shared a first look with her dad.  As she came around the cottage corner and tapped her dad on the shoulder, they both became emotional and embraced as tears streamed down their faces.  It was a sweet moment to see these two sharing in such a special first look.

Guests began to arrive to Wildcliff and one by one they made their way to perfectly lined up chairs overlooking the calm lake.  The sun was bright and ever present.  With that came some pretty warm temperatures.  Emery being the planner she is, thought of everything!  Family and friends cooled themselves with fans and enjoyed  complimentary water and lemonade.  As the ceremony began, a quietness settled over the cliffside. Emery and her dad were chauffeured to the beginning of the aisle in a vibrant vintage car.  The car began to pull away, revealing Emery to the crowd.  As soon as Emery and Cody saw each other, she cried and he smiled as big as ever!  Emery’s dad escorted her down the aisle to Cody and handed his sweet daughter off to his new son-in-law.  The two shared in a meaningful ceremony with their closest family and friends in attendance.

After the ceremony, we photographed the majority of portraits for the day.  Despite the extremely warm temperatures and very high humidity, we were able to capture beautiful images in a short amount of time.  Emery and Cody along with their bridal party were such troopers to brave the heat so we could photograph around the stunning property that is Wildcliff.  Though it was hot, Cody eased Emery’s mind letting her know that these would be some of her favorite moments.  Emery and Cody are quite the duo.  The way they look at each other is the sweetest thing to see. Cody keeps Emery laughing and together they balance one another out perfectly.  We have loved our time with Emery and Cody since day one.  After their fall engagement session, we knew their wedding day would be amazing.

The evening was spent celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Jones at the Hollow.  The night was full of laughter, dancing, and good times.  Emery and Cody threw quite the party for their guests to enjoy.  There is no doubt that fun was had by all!

Emery and Cody, thank you so much for allowing us to document your beautiful day!  We enjoyed meeting everyone who has had a hand in raising you and Cody to be the people you are today!  You two are very lucky to have the love and support of so many! We wish you both the absolute best and know that nothing but good things are in store for you as you begin this new season as husband and wife.  Enjoy some of our favorites of the day.  The day was so detail heavy, that we had a very hard time trying to narrow down this gallery for the blog.  Many more to come!
