Mr. & Mrs. Kekelis | Hermann, Missouri Wedding

Megan and Kody were joined together in marriage on Saturday April 17, 2021 at a charming Rotunda with their closest family and friends in attendance! I just adore Hermann, so to say I was excited for this wedding was an understatement. Match Hermann with Megan and Kody, and you have the combination for the perfect day. We arrived at Valentine Hall first to take venue shots, and we were blown away how elegant this church hall is! It boasts gorgeous windows with a massive stone fireplace as the focal point of the room. All the tables were decorated with beautiful floral centerpieces created by Megan’s aunt Rhonda. The attention to detail and decor of the room had us so excited for the rest of the wedding day.

When we arrived to the Bittersweet guest house, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and laughter as all of the girls were getting their hair and makeup done. We photographed all of Megan’s pretty bridal details while they continued to prepare for the day. We were in heaven as we snapped each photo of her pretty details. Everything they selected to represent the day was so perfect!

Just downstairs in the house, Kody and all his groomsmen were getting ready for the day. They are a rowdy bunch of jokesters so we knew it would be a fun time working with them. Kody’s brother and other best man helped him into his navy wedding attire. Kody isn’t particularly a fan of photos being taken of himself, but no matter what we asked of him, he took it in stride! He and his friends laughed and joked as he continued to get ready. They all shared a beer together to celebrate the day.

It was now time to get Megan into her wedding gown. Her mom and sister joined her in a back bedroom and helped her into the dress. Within no time at all, Megan was all buttoned into the dress looking absolutely stunning! She finished off the look with a few touches of jewelry; one being a sentimental bracelet that her dad gave her mom. Megan’s mom looked so excited and her sister couldn’t stop smiling.

Megan’s bridesmaids were waiting out on the deck so they could finally see Megan in her dress! As they all turned around, we captured priceless waves of reactions and emotions. They all looked so excited for their sweet friend Megan. Now, it was time for Megan’s dad Alan to share a first look with his daughter. As he turned around, he looked stunned at the sight of his daughter as a bride. The two hugged as her mom and others witnessed the sweet moment from the background.

The day was running smoothly, so we ventured to the charming downtown area of Hermann for bridesmaid and groomsmen portraits. We had so much fun working with everyone! Megan and Kody and their friends were such a great group to work with and made our job so easy. It was finally time for the ceremony! We gathered in a darling rotunda where Megan and Kody would say their I Do’s! When the doors were opened to reveal Megan being escorted by her father, Kody’s eyes got so wide. He looked stunned at the sight of his beautiful bride making her way to him. Their ceremony was short and sweet and full of love. The officiant pronounced them husband and wife and the happy couple dashed back up the aisle as their family and friends cheered in excitement! Before heading off to downtown for more portraits, Megan and Kody couldn’t miss out on a few pictures with their two dogs, Goose and Duck.

Megan and Kody and their bridal party hopped on the trolley and met us downtown for the remainder of their bridal party portraits. And what a fun group this was! There definitely was no shortage of laughter during this time of the day! We truly had a blast with Megan and Kody and their group of friends. Now it was time for our favorite portraits of the day. Megan and Kody knocked bride and groom portraits out of the park. These two were so giddy with one another! You can tell that they really do balance each other out in the most perfect ways. Kody keeps Megan laughing and Megan makes Kody melt into the sweetest guy when she’s around. They share an adorable connection that you just can’t help but smile when you’re around them. Once we reached Kody’s maximum portrait limit for the day, we headed to the venue for the reception. Even though Kody isn’t a big fan of pictures, we feel these portraits say otherwise! We think he secretly enjoys it.

The reception was held just a short 15 minute drive from Hermann at Valentine Hall. Everyone was so excited as the new Mr. & Mrs. Kekelis was announced into the room. The evening was met with a sweet toast from Megan’s mom, lots of dancing, and so much laughter! These two sure are surrounded by so much love and support from their family’s. It’s evident Megan and Kody make each other very happy and we couldn’t be any more excited for these two as they begin this new journey as husband and wife! Megan and Kody, thank you so much for trusting me and my team to document day one of your marriage.
