Mackenzie and Joey had the most beautiful wedding day at Wildcliff Weddings and Events on June 5, 2021! Mackenzie and Joey are one special pair. It’s very evident that Mackenzie and Joey didn’t find each other by accident; these two are meant to be together! We knew as soon as we met these two that the day would be so full of love! Mackenzie and Joey have the most infectious smiles that can light up any room! These two and their giddiness had us grinning from ear to ear all day long as we documented their endearing love. The way Mackenzie and Joey look at one another is proof that real unending love does exist. They truly are such a joyful couple!

For our first adventure of the day, we ferried our way over to the man-cave on the property for Joey’s getting ready portraits. Joey was all smiles as his best man helped him with the finishing touches of his attire. Shortly after we were finished getting Joey ready, he was joined by the rest of his groomsmen for a few beers and smoking of cigars. Everyone was just hanging out and enjoying the morning of the wedding day. Before heading over to Mackenzie and her girls, Joey read a sweet letter from his darling bride! As he read the kind words written to him, we knew this was shaping up to be the most perfect day.

After a quick ferry boat ride, we were off to get Mackenzie into her wedding gown. When we walked into the cottage, Mackenzie, all the bridesmaids, her mom, and Joey’s mom were all in their pajamas and laughter filled the air. They were such a fun group of girls. It was time to get Mackenzie ready for the day! With the help of her mom, sisters, and best friend, Mackenzie was fastened into her gorgeous gown within no time. Dainty earrings were added and a veil was pushed into place to finish off the elegant bridal look. Mackenzie’s mom and sisters became emotional as they witnessed her as a stunning bride! Mackenzie was absolutely gleaming with confidence. It was time to bring in the rest of her bridesmaids along with Joey’s mom for the big reveal. Mackenzie captivated the room as everyone turned around to see her as a radiant bride for the first time!

Now was the time we had been anticipating all morning. It was time for Mackenzie and Joey’s first look. We knew after hearing how they both spoke so highly of one another, that this would be one amazing first look. As Mackenzie tapped his shoulder, Joey turned around in complete shock. Mackenzie took his breath away. They embraced for the longest time and then began checking each other out from head to toe. It was the cutest thing! We rolled right into bride and groom portraits, and what a fun time this was! You cannot help but smile when you are in the presence of Mackenzie and Joey! These two together are truly the most darling pair. You can just feel the happiness and joy when you are around them.

Wildcliff has the most gorgeous scenery! We love how there are so many photo opportunities on the property. We spent the remainder of the afternoon photographing bridal party portraits with their lively group of friends. Before heading back down to the cliffside for the ceremony. Mackenzie’s father passed away recently, so it was important to have his presence known on the wedding day even though he couldn’t be there in person. A photo of her father was framed and placed in a front row chair at the ceremony. We have no doubt that Norman was watching over the beautiful wedding day from heaven. Mackenzie was escorted down the aisle by her mother. Joey was all smiles as his stunning bride made her way towards him. Mackenzie and Joey shared in a beautiful ceremony that centered on God. Her uncle read a heartfelt poem her father had written to her mother. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd as her uncle shared her father’s sweet words.

Mackenzie and Joey were united in marriage and pronounced husband and wife after they read the most beautiful vows to one another. The promises these two made, were so touching! Mackenzie and Joey shared a passionate kiss before heading back up the aisle as everyone cheered in excitement! After the ceremony, we took advantage of the pretty cliffside and water scenery for some portraits with the newlyweds. The rest of the evening was spent celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Owens! They were announced into the reception and went straight into their first dances. Her grandfather gave a sentimental prayer before everyone enjoyed amazing food from the taco food truck. We loved this personal touch of the wedding day! Once everyone had their food, many toasts were given to the newlyweds! The cake was cut and dancing filled the rest of the evening! We ended our time with Mackenzie and Joey under the twinkling garden lights at their reception. It was the most perfect ending to one spectacular day!
