Alyx and Conner’s Elegant Wedding at Piazza Messina

Alyx and Conner tied the knot at the beautiful Piazza Messina in Cottleville, Missouri on the very last day of May! From the moment we arrived, excitement filled the air. Alyx and her bridesmaids were putting the finishing touches on their hair and makeup, and their joy was absolutely contagious. We captured a few sweet portraits of Alyx and her girls in their matching pajama sets before it was time for her to slip into her stunning gown!

With the help of her mom, Alyx stepped into her dress and looked absolutely breathtaking. She took a moment in front of the mirror to take it all in, and her expression said it all! Just outside the house, her dad and brother were waiting to see her for the first time that day. When Alyx gently tapped her dad’s shoulder, he and her brother turned around and were immediately overcome with emotion! Her mom watched the moment with tears in her eyes. It was such a moving and heartfelt scene that truly showed the close bond this family shares.

The weather on May 31st was quite warm, but a partly cloudy sky gave us a much-needed break from the heat and bright sunlight. Alyx and her girls looked timeless and elegant in their classic black dresses paired with white florals. It was a gorgeous look and the friendships among the bridesmaids were just as beautiful. It was clear how much they all mean to Alyx!

One of the most touching parts of the day was when Alyx and Conner shared their private vows! Without seeing each other, they stood on either side of a pillar at the front of the venue. They held hands and exchanged the sweetest words and promises. Alyx wiped away tears while Conner smiled from ear to ear. It was such a tender and intimate moment to witness between the two of them.

Conner and his group of friends brought such a fun and easy energy to the day! They were laid-back, funny, and up for anything we suggested. We had a great time capturing some relaxed portraits of the guys as they got ready for the ceremony.

The ceremony took place outdoors at the scenic spot overlooking the water, which created the perfect romantic atmosphere. As it began, the sun ducked behind the clouds, giving us the dreamiest lighting. The ceremony was heartfelt and full of happy tears, laughter, and meaningful vows. When they were finally pronounced Mr and Mrs Peters, Alyx raised her bouquet high in celebration and the two of them beamed with happiness! As they made their way back up the aisle, they stopped to share another sweet kiss as newlyweds!

After the ceremony, we captured family portraits and then spent some time with the bridal party before focusing on Alyx and Conner. These two are so natural and connected, and their love comes through in every photo. The way Conner looks at Alyx is the stuff of fairy tales! It was a joy to document their chemistry and love!

Back inside, guests cheered and waved their napkins as they awaited the grand entrance of the newlyweds. The reception space was nothing short of elegant! Candles glowed on every table, tall floral centerpieces caught the eye, and neutral floral arrangements added a romantic touch throughout the room. Alyx’s attention to detail was evident in everything from custom drink stirrers to personalized dog biscuit favors.

Once dinner was finished, we snuck Alyx and Conner outside for golden hour portraits. The light was soft and warm, wrapping them in a perfect glow for their portraits by the water. When they returned to the celebration, they shared their first dance as husband and wife! Later, guests mingled on the patio and enjoyed the cigar bar, which was a huge hit! Even Alyx and Conner joined in the fun and shared a celebratory cigar together.

It was truly a perfect day! We are so honored to have been a part of it and to have captured all the beauty and emotion of the start of Alyx and Conner’s marriage.
