Mr. & Mrs. Streb | The Millbottom | Jefferson City, Missouri

I had the pleasure of spending my birthday with the sweetest bride and groom! Kayle and Alan were married on a gorgeous fall day in October at the Millbottom.  The air was crisp and the tree branches swayed as the fall foilage danced in the breeze.  The sky was gorgeous, not a cloud in sight.  Magnificent rays of sunshine filtered through the autumn leaves.  It’s no secret that October is my favorite month, and with Kayle and Alan’s wedding day on my actual birthday, I knew a good day was in store for us!  What a perfect day it was from start to finish!

We began our day with Kayle’s details and stunning fresh florals.  Her cascade arranged bouquet was just perfect with a gorgeous pallet for fall.  As all the girls prepared for the day, we enjoyed styling her pretty little details.  It was almost time for Kayle to get into her gown when her mother Darla arrived with Kayle and Alan’s daughter Delilah.  What a treat she is!  So full of life and personality and not even a year old, Delilah stole the show in the room. Just before Kayle slipped into her custom-made gown, Delilah sat holding her momma’s delicate dress and grinned and giggled as everyone doted over her.  With a flower crown atop her head, Delilah looked just perfect for her mom and dad’s special day.

Kayle slipped into her dress with the help of her best friend Jerica and her mom Darla.  All of the intricate buttons were fastened and the room filled with emotion as everyone witnessed Kayle as a bride for the first time that day!  Kayle looked absolutely immaculate in her elegant dress.  Just before she left for her first look, Kayle, along with her bridesmaids, gathered in a small circle as her mom prayed.  The big reveal was finally here!  It was time for Kayle and Alan to share their first look.

We met Alan under the archway at the Carnahan Memorial Garden.  He anxiously waited for his beautiful bride to arrive.  As Kayle made her way to Alan, she gently tapped him on the shoulder and he turned to see a stunning bride standing before him. They smiled, and teared up and shared many long and cozy hugs with each other.  Such a sweet and romantic moment to share with each other before all the chaos of the wedding day settles in. We spent the remainder of the afternoon photographing bride and groom portraits before meeting up with the bridal party.  What a fun and easy going group they were!  Everyone was such a delight to work with and made our job so much fun!  I don’t think we could have hand selected a better group of people to spend my birthday with!

Kayle and Alan shared in a short but sweet ceremony at the Millbottom with their close family and friends in attendance.  Kayle’s brother escorted her down the aisle to her dream guy.  The two shared heartfelt vows and exchanged rings during the emotional affair.  As the officiant introduced them as Mr. and Mrs. Alan Streb, their family and friends erupted in cheer as an elated bride and groom made their way back down the aisle.

Just as the ceremony was ending, we were entering into our favorite time of the day- Golden Hour- and we were so excited to have such a madly in love couple, along with their daughter, in front of our lens.  When we say magic happened during this time, we mean just that.  The light was dreamy and glowy and everything a perfect portrait is made of!  The adorable family of three looked picture perfect during sunset portraits and we loved every minute of it!

We ventured back to the Millbottom where sweet toasts were made in honor of the happily married couple, and romantic first dances were had.  A night full of laughter and lots of dancing made the time fly by quickly.  We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.  We felt so welcomed and honored to be there on the day Kayle and Alan became husband and wife.  We wouldn’t have wanted to spend our Saturday anywhere else!

Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Streb and sweet Delilah! We couldn’t be more happy for your adorable family of three.  Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for trusting us to capture your wedding day memories.  We have absolutely loved getting to know you during this sweet season.  Enjoy a sneak peak into the best day!
