The Blue Note | Columbia, Missouri Wedding-Morgan Lee Photography

Megan and Jacob were married on the last day in July and had a wedding to remember! We began at the Broadway Hotel where Megan and Jacob were both getting ready for the day. Megan and her girls were getting their hair and makeup done while we got to work photographing her pretty bridal details. We joined Jacob and the groomsmen upstairs to get ready! The room was loud as all the guys were jamming out to music. Jacob read a card from Megan and teared up as he opened the thoughtful gift she got him. All his buddies gathered around him and did a cheers to begin celebrating the day!

Next, it was time to get Megan in her wedding gown. Megan’s mom helped fasten her into the dress and pushed the veil in place. Simple jewelry pieces were added, and Megan slid on the garter that her grandmother wore on her wedding day 60+ years ago. Megan was glowing and looked so excited as she read her sweet note from her soon to be husband! We ventured downtown to The Blue Note where we met up with Jacob and his guys for groomsmen portraits. It’s no doubt Jacob has a rowdy and funny group of friends. They definitely know how to celebrate! Before heading to church, all the guys gathered inside at the Blue Note for a celebratory drink and cheers.

Megan and her girls showed up to the Blue Note after Jacob and the guys headed off to church. They were all smiles and giggles as we photographed their portraits! Megan wanted to hit the bar inside with her girls before making her way to church for the ceremony. Megan met us at Church and before walking down the aisle, she shared the sweetest first look with her grandma and grandpa. This was probably one of my favorite moments of the day. Her grandma was immediately overcome with so much emotion as she witnessed Megan as a bride!

It was finally time for the 2pm ceremony. Megan and Jacob shared in a short but sweet ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia with their close family and friends in attendance. We spent the remainder of the day celebrating Megan and Jacob! These two and their friends know how to have the best time. They had a party bus chauffeur them around downtown Columbia stopping at many locations on the way. At one point, Megan and Jacob popped a bottle of champagne and sprayed it all over themselves and their bridal party. Everyone had the best time location hopping and celebrating Megan and Jacob.

We made it to The Blue Note where Megan and Jacob were welcomed in with a loud crowd of family and friends! The evening was spent listening to toasts that were more like comedy routines, watching a full skit delivered by Jacob’s family, and cheering as the couple kissed outside of the Blue Note. It was one unforgettable day! We are so excited to share a special peek into this fun wedding day! Enjoy some of our favorites.
