Mr. & Mrs. Beckler | Quail Ridge Lodge Wedding

Abby and Wyatt celebrated their happily every after on Saturday March 30 at Webster Hill United Methodist Church in St. Louis!  We had been counting down the days to their I Do’s ever since their engagement session in the summer!  These two are a darling duo and share such an authentic love for one another.  When you have a couple with a connection like these two, you know it’s going to be a lovely day!  We prepared for their special day knowing the weather most likely wouldn’t be in our favor.  We weren’t worried though, because we knew with Abby and Wyatt’s laid back personalities, all would be well!  The day was perfect even despite the rainy and cold weather.

We began the day at church with getting Abby and Wyatt ready!  While they prepared for the day, we photographed their beautiful details.  Simple, yet elegant, Abby has such a lovely style.  You could tell throughout the entire day that Abby put her personal touches on each little aspect.  No detail went unnoticed!  Her soft spring color pallet had us swooning from the start!  Perhaps our favorite bridal detail was her mommas veil!  It was such a sweet sentiment to wear her moms veil.  It looked so beautiful and timeless.

Before we knew it, the time had come to get Abby in her wedding gown.  Her mom fastened the delicate buttons as her bridesmaids stood by smiling in awe of her beauty. Abby  looked so happy as she stood in the getting ready room of the church!  She added the jewelry before her mom added the final touch- the wedding veil.  As soon as she put the veil in place, everyone in the room erupted in cheer and excitement.  As Abby and her mom embraced, they tried to hold back the tears.  Abby shares a special relationship with her dad, so it was very important to her to share a first look with him before the ceremony.  We brought her dad Bob in and set him in place before bringing Abby back in the room.  She effortlessly walked towards him and tapped his shoulder.  As he turned around to see his daughter as a bride, he looked extremely proud.

Abby and Wyatt decided to write heartfelt love letters to one another to read before the ceremony.  We adore this and encourage couples to do so!  As she read through Wyatt’s sweet words, it was hard to hold back the tears.  Wyatt spoke of Abby in the highest regard and talked about his excitement for beginning their new journey as husband and wife!  When Wyatt read his letter from Abby, we had the biggest grin stretched across his face the entire time.

The time had come for the wedding ceremony!  As the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle one by one, Wyatt’s grin on his face got bigger and bigger.  You could tell the anticipation of seeing his bride was killing him.  The bagpiper played a tune before the large church doors guided open.  Swiftly walking through the doorway was Abby escorted by her dad. Wyatt was all smiles as Abby made her way to the front of the alter.  The two took part in a traditional ceremony where they recited vows, exchanged rings, and lit the unity candle.  Half an hour later after a lovely service, they were pronounced husband and wife!  Everyone cheered and clapped as they made their way back down the aisle.

It was time for portraits and the rainy weather had still not subsided.  We had a back up plan set in place and man are we glad we did, because their portraits turned out amazing despite the dreary day!  At a park under a large covered area, we were able to capture all of their bridal party and bride and groom portraits!  Their bridal party was absolutely amazing to work with!  They made our time so much fun!  It flew by and we couldn’t believe how many portraits we were able to capture in such a short amount of time.  We loved their energy and constant laughter!  Abby and Wyatt are certainly blessed with an amazing group of friends who truly support them in all that they do!

Once it was time for bride and groom portraits, we were in love!  Abby and Wyatt are such naturals in front of the camera.  They make everything look so easy and effortless!  Their connection is undeniable.  They get so lost in each others eyes, it’s the cutest thing!  It was super cold and pretty breezy but they were such troopers to brave the chilly temperatures!  We just love these two and their sweet love story!  It was such an honor to have them back in front of our camera.

The remainder of the evening was spent celebrating the happy couple at Quail Ridge Lodge in Wentzville, Missouri. The venue sits on a beautiful piece of property.  We loved the floor to ceiling windows.  It was the perfect space for these two to party the night away with their closest friends and family!  It was such a fun reception and one we will be thinking about for a long time!  Our favorite part of the evening, was Abby  and Wyatt’s first dance.  These two came out and did not disappoint.  They had an entire routine and Abby looked amazing as Wyatt twirled her around the dance floor!  Their day was perfect in every way!

Abby and Wyatt, Thank you so much for allowing us to document day one of your marriage!  We had an absolute blast celebrating your love story!  We wish you two so much happiness!  We know together, with the strong love you share for each other, anything is possible!  Enjoy this new season as husband and wife!  It was truly been a privilege getting to know you both throughout your engagement!  Enjoy some of our favorites from the day!
