Mr. & Mrs. Yager | Monroe City Wedding

We were met with the most beautiful sun shiny day last weekend for Ashley and Adams wedding!  We were pleasantly surprised with just how perfect the weather was all day because for the entire week leading up to their wedding day, the forecast was calling for rain and storms for the majority of the day.  We think it’s safe to say someone up in the sky was watching over them and making sure the day was gorgeous and perfect in every way.  Ashely and Adam were married at her grandparents farm in Monroe City.  The scene was breathtaking with rolling hills that filled the background.  Close family and friends gathered near the cute farm house awaiting the ceremony.  Around five, guests began making their way out to the large white tent where Ashley and Adam would soon tie the knot.  We adore outdoor weddings and the natural beauty of them.

We probably sound like a broken record when we say this, but it’s oh so true!  We are truly blessed with the sweetest couples.  Everyone that crosses our path truly leaves a mark on us and we feel so honored for the opportunity to share in such a special day with amazing families.  Ashley and Adam have been wonderful to work with from day one!  Their wedding day was hands down one of the best outdoor weddings we’ve had the pleasure of photographing.  We began the day at their reception hall photographing all the pretty details.  Ashley and Adam did a phenomenal job transforming the regular hall into something beautiful.  Sitting atop each table was beautiful fresh flowers and stems of greenery.  Next we headed to a salon in town where Ashley and her bridesmaids were getting ready for the day!  This salon was so pretty!  It had two separate sides with large open windows for natural light.  We were definitely in heaven.  We spent the afternoon photographing pretty details that Ashley had selected.  Just before it was time to get in the gown, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take portraits of Ashley and all her girls in their matching robes!

It was finally time to get Ashley into her wedding gown.  Her mom helped fasten all the buttons on the dress.  Final touches of sentimental jewelry were added, along with the veil to complete her look as a bride.  Ashley was absolutely glowing in her gown.  She looked simply stunning!  We knew Adam was going be so excited for the first look with his future wife!  We took advantage of the extra time we still had to take a few bridal portraits of Ashley.  These are always some of our favorites!  Ashley blew us away with her radiant beauty.  Next, we brought all of the bridesmaids out for the big reveal.  On the count of three, they all turned around to see Ashley.  What a sweet moment this was to capture as each girl had a separate reaction to seeing her as a bride!  They all huddled in to hug and tell Ashley how stunning she looked.

The day was moving along perfectly.  We headed just a few minutes away to where Adam was getting ready at his grandmothers house.  With the help of his dad and brother, Adam was ready in no time!  Before leaving the house, we stepped outside for a few quick portraits of the three guys.  Ashley and Adam’s sweet dog Moxie decided to join in a few pictures.  He was so cute with his little blue bowtie!  We made our way to Ashley’s grandparents property where she and Adam would share a first look.  We set Adam in place and told him within the next few minutes, Ashley would be tapping him on the shoulder!  He was so excited and had the biggest grin stretched across his face.  Ashley walked towards Adam looking so happy.  As she tapped his shoulder, Adam took a few seconds before turning around to see her.  He looked so excited and immediately embraced Ashley with the biggest hug.  He was so happy, he began laughing and kept saying “wow!”  Ashley and Adam are cute as can be and their first look was something special!

Ashley and Adam are quite literally the perfect pair!  These two just light up when they are around each other.  Adam can’t help but have the biggest grin on his face when Ashely is around.  He keeps her laughing and giggling and it’s adorable to see.  They both have fun personalities that perfectly complement the other!  We spent the beautiful afternoon taking bride and groom portraits with the prettiest backdrop and gorgeous light.  These two are so easy going and made portrait time a breeze.  The afternoon passed quickly with bridal party portraits.  It was just about time for their ceremony.

Within less than a half hour, Ashley and Adam were married!!  Everyone cheered and clapped as the new Mr. and Mrs. Yager were pronounced husband and wife!  Their ceremony was short and sweet with so much meaning!  A fun evening was spent with family and friends at a nearby hall in Monroe City.  They danced the night away and laughed too many times to count as funny toasts were given.  Ashley and Adam are such a special couple.  They are loved by so many!  It’s always so cool to see a room filled with people who are all present for one couple.  So much love could be felt all day and all night for these two.  We ended our time with them just across the street at a quaint little white church!  It was the perfect ending to the perfect day!

Ashley and Adam, Thank you for having us be part of your special day.  We enjoyed capturing day one of your marriage and meeting all the sweet people who have played a role in your lives!  We have loved getting to know you both as a couple throughout this special season!  We wish you two nothing but the absolute best as you begin this new journey as husband and wife!  Enjoy some of our favorites from the day! Many more to come.
