Katelynn and Zachary gathered at Cooper’s Ridge for the perfect wedding weekend! When we arrived to the venue, we got right to work photographing the gorgeous reception space. Wooden farmhouse tables were the focal point of the room and many lanterns and candles made the space feel romantic. With our day beginning at a beautiful reception space, we knew the day would be absolutely beautiful. Katelynn and her bridesmaids were relaxing in the bridal suite on the property. Sipping champagne and laughter filled their afternoon while we got to work photographing the bridal details. Everything was gorgeous and we couldn’t get enough of all the pretty details.
As the afternoon passed along, it was time for the bride and groom to get ready in their wedding attire. First, we stopped in the bar area where Zach and his groomsmen were hanging out and enjoying beers. Zach read the sweetest most enduring letter from his beautiful bride. She prepared the most thoughtful gift for Zach that had him in tears while reading the letter. She had a special bracelet made for him in remembrance of his late father. We were trying to hold it together behind our cameras as we snapped photos of him during the tearful moments. After reading the letter, he officially got ready for the day with the help of his brother and mom.
Next, it was Katelynn’s turn to get all dressed up. In the bridal suite, she reached up to grab her gorgeous wedding gown down from the window. She was all smiles as she held the dress in her arms with anticipation of what was to come. Her mom helped quickly fasten her into the gown. She added jewelry and a veil to complete the look. Katelynn’s mom became emotional when she stepped back from her daughter and looked at her in the dress. The two embraced and it was the sweetest moment. Before the ceremony, Katelynn wanted to share a first look with the first man in her life who loved her. Waiting at the front of the alter overlooking the water, stood her father. He anxiously waited for his daughter to arrive and tap him on the shoulder. As Katelynn glided towards him, she gently tapped his shoulder and was immediately met with the biggest hug. Katelynn’s dad became super emotional as he saw her for the first time. They shared a hug and he wiped his tears away as they looked at one another trying not to cry.
Just before the ceremony, bridesmaid and groomsmen portraits were taken! We had so much fun with everyone in the bridal party. Everyone was so easy to work with. As the time neared 4 o’clock, guests began being ushered down to the benches at the outdoor ceremony site. Music played over a speaker system as Katelynn was escorted down the aisle by her father. Zach was immediately overcome with emotion as he saw his beautiful bride walking towards him. He tried to hold back tears, but couldn’t do so as she walked closer and closer to him. Katelynn’s dad handed her off to Zach and the ceremony began. The darling couple shared in a short but sweet ceremony. They put together a unity cross before exchanging rings and vows. The officiant pronounced them husband and wife and guests blew bubbles along the aisle as the happy couple mad their way back up the aisle.
The remainder of the evening was spent with funny speeches being made in honor of the bride and groom, dancing the night away, and finally ending with a sparkler exit at the ceremony site. Katelynn and Zach’s day truly couldn’t have gone any more perfectly. They planned a gorgeous day and their love for one another was the focal point of it all! We felt so honored to be documenting day one of their marriage as they became Mr. & Mrs. Huckabey. We cannot wait to see what he future has in store for these two love birds.
